According to the Danish gambling Authority (DGA), the profit of gambling companies for the last quarter of 2017 increased by 6.9%.
According to DGA, the income from online casinos jumped by 16.7% per annum (up to €3 million), showing an increase of 5% for the third quarter. Profit from sports betting also increased by 23.8% for the third quarter and 29% for the year. Revenues from lotteries, which are exclusively owned by the state operator Danske Spil, amounted to €416.1 million.
In addition, seven land-based casinos in the territory of the state reported a decrease in revenues by 4.4%, compared with the results for the previous quarter, which amounted to 3.3% per annum. The revenue from slot machines also fell by 2.5% in the quarter and amounted to €1.07 million.
